The popular G Series has been updated with improved playability and expanded tonal palette for greater versatility. The G200DX features a Maple fingerboard that feels smooth and slick, as well as providing a classic woody look to the overall aesthetic of the instrument.
Characteristics:
Ash Body: Ash is one of the most popular and used woods for solid body electric guitars and basses. It is light in weight but has a surprisingly loud, tight and punchy sound with an emphasis on the upper midrange. The natural beauty of Ash with its distinctive grain patterns makes it ideal for transparent and natural finishes.
Maple Fingerboard: The maple fingerboard is a vital component of the guitar's overall sound. Maple is a very popular choice due to its rigidity and stability, but also for its strong punch and upper-mid range articulation. It also feels smooth and slick, as well as providing a classic woody look to the overall aesthetic of the instrument.
Canadian Hard Maple Neck: The Canadian Hard Maple neck provides power and stability, as well as contributing to a robust, punchy tone with a strong upper midrange.
HSS Pickup Configuration: This popular pickup configuration with the 5-position switch provides a wide variety of sounds to cover virtually any musical style. With the middle and neck pickups alone or in combination, the sounds are not only ideal for rhythm playing, but also for distinctive single-coil leading sounds (solos).
Body-Neck Joint with Beveled Heel: Unlike the square-cut heel of traditional bolt-on guitars, the heel on the G Series is a thin, round bevel for easier, smoother access to the frets in the high register of the fretboard.
