CABASA TYCOON TSA-MC
Cabasa is a percussion instrument that probably evolved from a shekere and, like it, has its origins in Africa. However, he became better known thanks to Latin American rhythms, such as bossa nova.
Cabasa consists of a steel cylinder, around which a steel chain is also wrapped. The handle of the cabasa is made of wood. The c abasa makes a metallic "rattle" sound, which requires relatively good control of the instrument.
The larger models have a louder sound, the smaller ones sound smoother and better controlled. The musician's dominant hand moves the body of the capase, while the other cushions the rattle of the chain.
It may be interesting that cabasa is used not only in music, but also in music psychotherapy.
