Developed to provide the widest range of great classic sounds in a bass, the GB74 Gig incorporates the sounds of the humbucker, J-style single coil and P-style split coil to offer the working bassist the ultimate in sonic versatility.

ALDER BODY: The Alder body provides a deep, big, warm acoustic character that fits perfectly into the mix without interfering with the frequencies of other instruments when playing in an ensemble.

MULTI-TONE & VTB-P SINGLE-COIL PICKUPS: The Multi-Tone bridge humbucker is a specially designed pickup that combines the sounds of a humbucker with a J-style single-coil pickup. The 3-way toggle switch for this humbucker allows bassists to access either the inner or outer coils or both, to get the best of both worlds in a great-sounding bass humbucker. The VTB-P is a traditional split-P-style single coil with a vintage-flavored tone. Use it separately or mix both for new sounds to expand the tonal palette.

OMEGA BRIDGE: The Omega Bridge, a major sonic upgrade made from high-density die-cast Zinc that is rock solid, yet fully adjustable. 2.25" string spacing and base tread 3 7/32" - 2 15/32"

ELECTRONICS: The combination of a specially designed humbucker in the bridge position and split P-style pickup in the neck position with custom wiring provides a plethora of great bass sounds and unmatched versatility.

VERSATILE SOUND VOICE: The Balancer knob operates only the P-style split humbucker, the J-style single coil, and the full humbucker mode that combines the humbucker coil with the J-style single coil in one pickup. Using the 3-way bridge pickup lever to combine the three different pickup sounds with the split P-style neck pickup.

PUSH-PULL BUTTON (ACTIVE/PASSIVE): The active/passive push-pull conversion button offers versatile sound option depending on the bassist's voicing taste.

HIPSHOT® ULTRALITE TUNERS: Relative to the headstock weight that can cause a bass to be neck-heavy, Hipshot® Ultralite tuners greatly reduce weight while offering an excellent level of precise tuning and stability.

MAPLE FRIDGEBOARD: The Maple fingerboard provides power and stability, as well as contributing to a warm, robust and punchy tone with a strong upper midrange. Dense and rigid but with just the right amount of tactile flexibility, it responds sensitively to your pick attack and slap techniques with plenty of articulation and power.

SPOKE NUT HOTROD TRUSSROD ROD: The Spoke Nut Hotrod Trussrod ensures smooth and precise adjustment of the neck arc. This truss rod adjustment feature allows the bassist to tune the exact amount of neck arc, depending on the bassist's technique and playing style with convenient access.
