EVANS B14EC2S 14" DICK PAD

This model is a two-ply 7 mil head with a revolutionary harmonic control system. Developed alongside drummer Bob Gatzen, the EC2S features an internally mounted Sound Technology (SST™) controller muffler that acts on the end vibration rather than eliminating it. This muffler isolates and regulates the high harmonics, enhances the final decay of the low frequencies and the attack, allowing a wide tuning range. Unlike conventional heads, the EC2S does not "kill" the sound of high pitches, nor does it lose body in the lows.

The frosted finish that Evans applies to this series is a light coat of paint that helps control harmonics.
