Sustainable building materials
Martin is all about sustainability. That is why they have used ecological materials in the D-X1E. The warm, resonant HPL sides and back showcase a beautiful koa pattern. The bridge and fingerboard are made with FSC certified Richlite. Richlite is a composite material with sonic characteristics between rosewood and ebony. Richlite is completely unaffected by changes in temperature and humidity, requires very little maintenance and feels great under your fingers.
Fishman MX electronics on board
The D-X1E Koa electro-acoustic guitar has built-in Fishman MX electronics, and players are impressed by how faithfully they reproduce the warm, smooth tones of their guitar. Since the preamp is mounted inside the sound hole, the volume and tone knobs are within easy reach and very discreet. With onboard electronics that are so good, you'll feel confident going on stage or plugging it in to record.
