Created in 1983 for jazz and variety. JAVA reeds have a thicker end than traditional reeds and vibrate on a longer blade*, with maximum elasticity.
This type of spine, which allows a very large area of elasticity, offers the musician greater performance flexibility.
* Paddle: area where the waves propagate with the greatest amplitude. From the tip, the waves are absorbed further into the JAVA reeds.
