Measuring 5 feet 1 inch (155 cm), this piano is the smallest of STEINWAY 's grand pianos . This design was introduced in the 1930s to invite the majesty of the STEINWAY sound into almost any space.

SUSPENDERS
3 solid spruce stays with a volume of 1,050 cu. in.
(17,202 cm3); Fir provides tensile strength with less weight. Maple pegs attach the braces to the soundboard producing a single homogeneous base upon which the entire tonal component is built. A cast iron treble bell, positioned at the bottom of the soundboard in the treble bend, holds the frame firmly in position by means of a steel bolt. STEINWAY & SONS Iron Wedge anchors the strut ends securely to the cross block ensuring soundboard posture

MACILLOS
Premium wool felt top and bottom; Treated to resist insects and humidity. Compressed with wire to maintain permanent shape. Hard rock maple hammer stems and moldings.

KEYS
European spruce, individually weighed. Chip-proof, smudge-resistant coverage for natural tones; non-slip, worn ebony for treble. Durable Linden wood buttons reinforce the keys on the balance rail, allowing for maximum tonal power with each hit. Longest key: 19" (48.3 cm).

PEDALS
Heavy, solid bronze. Unichord, tonal and resonance.
