Set of 5 bass strings EXP170-5 EXP Series Coated Nickel Regular Light, long scale, 5 strings (045 - 065 - 080 - 100 - 130) . To manufacture EXP bass strings, a thin layer of this revolutionary material is applied to the surface of each previously nickel-plated steel wire. Finally, several of these wires are wound around a hexagonal steel core. The result is a barrier against corrosion and weather that can weaken the life and sound of the strings. These strings have the feel of roundwound strings and have a fresh, bright sound with a new string tone that lasts three to four times longer than a traditional bass string.
